Really enjoyed this clean updated beautiful little property. Stayed in room one, the two bedroom suite. Very cozy, comfortable and clean. The property is a collection of small buildings with well maintained lush grass and garden areas. This place has a quaint little charm and is just a few blocks from the shops and restaurants. Our room was well maintained, nicely decorated, and very clean. Bonus it had really nice pillows. Highly recommend.
My daughter and I shared a two-bed unit and my parents had a one bed unit. The two-bed unit was awesome. It felt more like an apartment. Besides the separate beds there were two separate baths. The kitchenette was well stocked with plates, utensils, wine glasses, opener, microwave, coffee maker and small frig. The bed were comfortable, the entire unit was very clean, there were two TV’s and great wi-fi reception. The outdoor area was so nice and we spent time at the tables under the trees reading. Walking distance to downtown and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
We loved everything about Sierra Mountain Inn. First, the people. They are super nice and go out of there way to make your stay awesome. We dropped in on them without reservations thinking we would stay just one night but liked it so much we decided to stay two. Due to other bookings we had to move but they offered to let us leave our luggage in their office so we wouldn’t have to drag it around. Then they upgraded us on the second night to the Cottage (at the same regular room rate) because it was our anniversary and they liked us. Who does that anymore?!? The rooms are very clean and nicely updated and bright and quiet. We were very comfortable and slept great. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
This well-kept inn is a lovely getaway. It is tidy and cosy and has everything you need for a short stay in the gold country. The prices are reasonable and the management communicative and helpful. We stayed in Room 8, which boasts a second bedroom with its own entrance and exit and a full bathroom. The main room has a very nice, super-clean kitchen area and a big bathroom with a tub. Windows in the kitchen and bathroom open to trees and light. The decor is lovely, with small shaded lamps and soft deep red blankets across the comfortable beds. It truly is a home away from home!
On an overnight jaunt on our scooters, we stayed at Sierra Mountain Inn in Grass Valley, at the upper end of Main Street. Simple rooms are set around a verdant lawn splashed with trees, giving it a country cottage feel. Our room was small, but offered everything we needed, including a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee-maker with excellent organic coffee. Updated bath with a decent shower and vanity, plus a magnifying make-up mirror. Free wifi worked like a charm. Parking just outside your room and it’s just a few blocks walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. For a short stay, you can’t go wrong.
Very enjoyable stay. Room was small, but I was out everyday enjoying Grass Valley every day. Room was clean, and people at desk were very friendly and helpful when needed. I would recommend the sierra Mountain Inn and I would stay there again.
We had a great time at the Sierra Mountain Inn! We spent two nights at the Sierra Mountain Inn earlier this month. The location was great, easy walking distance to downtown. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
My wife and I were visiting family, and decided to make Sierra Mountain Inn our choice for a motel. I will say my wife picked a good one for certain!!
Our room was clean and met our needs! The bed was comfy, the property was kept and quaint! Close to downtown shopping, wine tasting, antiques, and restaurants. Had we not been meeting friends we could have walked and been there in just minutes!
In the morning, we grabbed our coffee, and went out to the courtyard to sit under a giant redwood tree just outside our door. There are 2 tables with chairs to relax in before starting your day. If you like wine, there are 2 wine glasses and opener provided, so you can get right to enjoying your purchases from downtown!!!
A mini fridge, and microwave, along with 4 cup coffee maker were enough for my wife and I.
“If” I had any complaint it would be parking is a little tight. Having said that, everyone parked sensibly, and we had no real problem there. If you are the first one out in the morning, be prepared to back out into the street to leave. If you have a large car or truck, there is also street side parking available right in front of the Inn. All in all, we were very satisfied with the Inn, and would not hesitate to stay there every time we visit!!
really easy to get to, clean, quiet and all around great experience. The price seemed fair, it was easy to make reservations. Really close to downtown grass valley for shopping, eating and sightseeing. On a main road so easy to get to which was really nice. It has a small kitchenette which is very handy.
What a charming little place to stay when you’re visiting Grass Valley area. We had the perfect room spacious ,clean and with very nice thoughtful accommodations.
The little touches made it extra special. Wine glasses and opener!
Super comfortable bed, and nice linens and towels. Loved the lovely smelling soaps and shampoos. Registration area is pleasant with coffee and lots of travel information. Dianne could not have been nicer, and she was very helpful at check in, really appreciated!
She recommended places to eat, as well as a great place to walk to in town for breakfast. If we come back to the area we will stay again for sure.
